For a gambling tourist choosing the right cruise company, boat size and route can be very important when choosing a holiday. With all the variations in gambling laws on and off land it is important to know which companies will accommodate your passion for betting.

Probably the largest and most successful gambling cruise company is Star Cruise, the third largest cruise company in the world, it predominantly operates in Asia. Star cruises sail to many different locations in Asia, including Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Although visitors are predominately Asian, many Western, American and Australian tourists enjoy gambling on Star ferry cruise ships.

You may want to consider cruise ferries, a new Star ferry company that started in 2001, this is a small gambling ship that runs from Hong Kong to Xiamen. Passengers tend to use this ferry purely to gamble on board as it allows visitors to gamble to their hearts content once out of international waters. However it is important to heed a warning about high stakes onboard this boat, the bets get quite high and you might end up losing money!

If you are interested in taking a gambling cruise in America it might be a good idea to research Carnival Cruises for that authentic Las Vegas atmosphere. Carnival cruises have been successful for many years for providing gambling enthusiasts with short, inexpensive cruises to their chosen destinations. Carnival provides its passengers with transportation to Europe, The Bahamas, Canada, Alaska, Mexico and Hawaii.

For a more luxurious gambling experience it might be wise to consider Royal Caribbean for their casino holiday. Royal Caribbean has the distinction of being one of the most versatile and comfortable lines on the market with routes to almost everywhere in the world from Alaska to Dubai. Royal Caribbean has a range of different cruise ships and classes but most importantly they are all furnished with excellent casinos to amuse you on your journey.
When researching cruise companies it is always worth checking with the larger companies first as they often have the best deals, but be sure to do your own research to ensure your gambling holiday is as personalised as possible, ensuring that you are with the right crowd in the right territory.

There once was a time when gambling on casinos was more than a simple pass time, they provided gamblers with one of the only opportunities to gamble available. Apart from Atlantic City and Las Vegas it was illegal to gamble anywhere in the United States and so gamblers would take a river boat three miles offshore and gamble there. For those who lived far away from Atlantic city and Las Vegas this ship based activity was one of their only opportunities to gamble.

When states of the 20th century started looking for assets that would make them more appealing to voters they began looking at gambling. The gambling barges never really went anywhere; they were simply a way of avoiding the law, remaining stationary in docks, rivers or even oceans. Since there were inevitable space restrictions gamblers were only allowed to play from two to three hours a day.

Indian casinos have also gotten on the band wagon. They are allowed to set up gambling casinos because of their sovereign nation status. Indian tribes existed as sovereign governments long before European settlers arrived in North America. The tribal nations signed treaties with European nations and later the United States in exchange for land. The treaties guaranteed the tribes continued recognition and treatment as sovereigns.

The modern boat casinos were originally legalized in Iowa, Illinois then Missouri, Indiana, Louisiana and Mississippi. These boats generally play traditional casinos games such as black jack, roulette and slots. Some companies have begun to offer ‘cruises to nowhere’ where the river boat simply acts as a method to take passengers outside the three mile limit to gamble at evenings and weekends.

So what are the advantages of the modern gambling cruise ship? Firstly the dealers are far more welcoming to beginners; they are patient and willing to help while many casino dealers wouldn’t let them play. Also casino gambling on board is seen as a pass time, one of many options available as a pass time to passengers. It warms up gamblers for when they hit the real casinos.

There are many benefits to choosing to take a gambling holiday on a cruise ship; on board people strive to be entertained while gamblers can amuse themselves for hours placing small bets and interacting with other players. A cruise ship also gives enthusiasts the opportunity to travel to some of the most popular gambling destinations.

One of the benefits of travelling on a gambling cruise ship is meeting other people with similar interests to you. You can quickly see the benefits of operating amongst a group of enthusiastic gamblers. Together you can study one another’s strengths and weaknesses and devise strategies for success. The connections that you make on board the ship will be very useful when you arrive at your destination because you can go accompany one another to casinos and work together.

Once you have arrived at your gambling destination you can work together scoping out the best casinos and making recommendations to one another if you’re travelling alone. You can pool your resources when working together, allowing you to make bigger bets on the tables and divvying up the winnings. Imagine yourself and your new friends as a sports team, you fill in each other’s weaknesses and make your chances of winning stronger.

It is important to always treat the staff with respect, it shows self control and your ability to stay cool under pressure, it also ensures that you are welcome back to the casinos you visit should you ever decide to return for another holiday. Treating your fellow travelling companions with respect will give you a good reputation amongst the gambling community as someone to interact with.

Making friends on your gambling holidays also means that you have travelling companions with similar interests for future holidays and excursions. There are not as many people in the world as you probably would like who share your passion, meeting other gamblers can be a confidence booster for anyone. Once your holiday is over you can continue to interact with your new friends through online gambling sites to keep your skills honed or plan future holidays together.

If you are travelling on a gambling cruise ship to a gambling destination it is important to follow a few simple tips to ensure the experience is enjoyable for both you and your fellow passengers. By being careful and considerate of others you can ensure you leave the cruise ship with funds, friends and a good rapport with staff.

First of all do not bet large amounts of money when gambling on board; try to keep in mind that you are sharpening your skills on the ship’s casino not making the biggest bets of your holiday. Unless you are a billionaire you will probably have relatively limited funds for betting and should save them for your actual holiday on dry land. Remember that you can have just as much fun betting small amounts of money as large amounts.

Make sure that you behave well when you are on board the ship, be polite to staff and other players, try not to drink too much as this may affect your judgement. Remember you have the potential to make friends at the ships casino and you will be spending most of your free time on and off board with these people so treat them with respect. You will make your holiday far more enjoyable if you keep the peace and stay on the right side of staff onboard.

Do not dominate the tables or intimidate other players, especially when travelling on a smaller ship with limited tables. Remember to treat gambling on board as a pass time and the rival players as friends. Try to treat the gambling tables as one of the many entertainment options on board not the only one. Treat the gambling tables the same way you would treat the gym, by visiting for an hour or two every day for practice and then letting other guests have a turn.

By keeping a calm, friendly rapport with the people around you, your holiday will be greatly improved and your friendships with other passengers will develop. Everybody loves to gamble but by doing it responsibly and in moderation; you will earn more respect while maintaining the same level of practice and skill.

The short time that you spend on a cruise ship can be very enriching for a passenger, staff work around the clock to ensure their customers are kept entertained. For its occupants a cruise ship has a range of welcome distractions to make the time pass at a leisurely but exciting pace. Cruise ships often have evening shows, dances, buffets or on deck sports and games rooms for children.

However for the gambler a cruise ship has an entirely different appeal, in order to make the time pass a casino is essential. Having a casino on board has many virtues for its passengers, aside from the thrill of winning and losing money.

A passenger on board a cruise ship may want to make friends and build contacts for future holidays; a casino is perfect for this as gambling with the other players is a unique bonding experience. Cruise gambling also helps players to quickly find people with which they share similar interests; this can be particularly beneficial to both the cruise company and the passengers.

Gambling on a cruise ship is also beneficial to the passengers because no matter what their level of skill they can always improve, this facility provides them with practice. By having a casino on board a cruise ship the participants are given a way to keep up their daily practice, something which is essential to the professional gambler.

Ideally on board gambling can benefit the gambling enthusiast, especially in concurrence with a voyage to a gambling destination. This for many passengers completes the gambling holiday experience because it wets the appetite for the gambling destination ahead. The friends that are made on board through gambling on the ship for entertainment give tourists readymade companions to hit the casinos on land with.

Cruise ships aim to provide their passengers with whatever they need while they are travelling to ensure their journey is enjoyable as possible. When their client has a special interest it should be provided for, this includes gamblers who not only increase the amount of jobs needed on board but contribute to the finances of the cruise ship.

Atlantic City, New Jersey is known for its boardwalk, spas, golf, fine dining, ocean front….and its casino gambling. Second only to Las Vegas and online casinos, Atlantic City attracts many guests to visit for a weekend or longer to enjoy the fantastic casinos.

During the day, visitors to Atlantic City may enjoy the ocean, boardwalk, shopping, trolley tours, antiques and family amusements. Nearby there are several top wineries to tour. One of the most famous is the Elephant and Renault Winery which offers tours of the vineyard and plant following by a guided wine tasting and the opportunity to buy.

After dark, Atlantic City really excels with its excellent entertainment and casinos. Each casino has its own particular theme and atmosphere but they all combine to provide non-stop action 24/7. There are eleven top casinos in this vibrant city, and much like Las Vegas they are part of big hotel and entertainment complexes by some of the biggest names in the business.

Caesar’s, Bally’s and Harrah’s are joined by Atlantic City Hilton Casino, Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, Resorts Casino, Tropicana and Showboat which has a great Mardi Gras theme. Three further casinos are owned by Trump – Trump Marina, Trump Plaza and Trump Taj Mahal Casino.

There are thousands of slots to choose from, some with high limits, plus video poker where you play at your own pace against the machine. Fast-moving craps is a skilled game to watch and to play, or sit at a table for Blackjack, Texas Hold’Em and other popular table games.

Caesars Atlantic City features Palace East, an Asian themed casino, decorated with chopstick wall art and featuring 25 Asian table games including Pai Gow Poker and Pai Gow Tiles. Two other specialized games not found onboard cruise casinos is Rapid Roulette, which uses touch-screens and Sic Bo, a game with three dice and an electronic screen. For traditional gambling games or new ideas and variations, Atlantic City is certainly somewhere every gambler will want to visit.

Monte Carlo is a small town on the French Riviera. Bordering the Mediterranean, it is part of the principality of Monaco which lies on the border between France and Italy. Monte Carlo is synonymous with the rich and famous. Its port is full of multi-million dollar yachts transporting their billionaire owners, royalty and celebrity friends from port to port. Staying in Monte Carlo is very expensive, but as it is just a short distance to the border with France, many visitors to Monte Carlo stay outside Monaco. Other visitors arrive on the many cruise ships which make Monte Carlo a port of call on their Mediterranean itineraries.

Apart from the Grand Prix racing which is held in Monaco once a year, its main claim to fame is the casino gambling. Le Grand Casino is in the center of Monte Carlo. The wonderful architecture of this casino complex makes it one of the most visited tourist attractions in Monaco. It was built between 1858 and 1863, shortly after gambling was legalized by Prince Florestan I in 1854. It includes the Grand Theatre de Monte Carlo, an opera and ballet house and it hosts the annual European Poker Tour Grand Final, a highly prestigious event in the gambling calendar. Interestingly, residents of Monaco are forbidden from entering the gaming rooms at the casino. The gardens surrounding this beautiful casino are also well worth a visit.

Visitors to the Grand Casino will have to show their passport and pay an entrance fee. Inside the Monte Carlo Grand Casino, as you would expect, the interior is opulent and lavishly decorated. There is a special poker room for the ultra wealthy. The Monte Carlo casino offers several types of roulette, stud poker, blackjack, trente et quarante, craps, baccarat, video poker and ample slot machines.

Several cruises make Monte Carlo a port of call including Ocean Village, MSC, Sea Dream, Crystal Cruises, Sovereign, Oceania, and Princess. The Seabourn and the Silversea Cruises actually depart from Monte Carlo, making these excellent cruises for those who enjoy gambling both in Monte Carlo and then at the onboard cruise casino during the remainder of the cruise.
